Living Christmas Tree | Highland Baptist Church | 2009

The first two weekends in December, our church performs a Living Christmas Tree production. We did 5 total performances this year, and had such a great response. Months of preparations go into it, and everyone is totally exhausted by the last performance. But, it is so much fun, and we are already looking forward to preparations for next year. These photos were taken by Hollis Photography. Video should be up soon....I will post the link!

Absolutely LOVED the songs that I solo'd on..."Once Upon A Holy Night" and "Light A Candle." And, it snowed while I sang....so awesome!!!

Yes...that is a fruitcake on my head :) Loved being in the Fruitcake group...."Nobody Likes A Fruitcake" :)

Christmas Cookies!!!

We had a great time making Christmas cookies last night! Emily loved rolling out the dough, and using the Gingerbread Man and Christmas Tree cookie cutters, passed down from MaMa Gober. This morning, we decorated our cookies, and of course, more icing made it into Emily's tummy than on her cookies!

King's Kids, Sunday Dec. 7th Highland Baptist

Sunday morning, our preschool children's choir sang in the worship service. It was Emily's first time to sing in front of the church. She did SO good....didn't sing a lick, but we were just happy that she stood on the platform and didn't come running to us :)

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas....

We spent this past weekend getting in gear for the Christmas season. We put out most of our decorations, and made a trip to Huntsville for some shopping, a visit to Santa's village, and a drive through the lights at the Botanical Gardens.
